On the X platform, Prabhas fans commented that the characters in Prashanth Neel’s “Salaar” appear to be from the hugely popular “KGF” films, and there are similarities between the film and his debut feature “Ugramm.”
The much awaited teaser for Salaar, starring Prabhas, debuted on Friday and quickly gained popularity among ‘Rebel Star’ devotees. The characters in the highly successful ‘KGF’ films appear to be from the film directed by Prashanth Neel, which some have compared to his debut feature film ‘Ugramm’. The first installment of the pan-Indian film series, Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, is promoted as a high-end action adventure.
“Same kind of story line as ugram but the presentation was top notch from Neel,” a user on X said. “Ugram’s shadows are everywhere. Another X user commented, “Just that Salaar done on a large grand canvas.”
On December 22, the film, which is being produced by Hombale Films, will be widely released worldwide.
Similar to Ugramm, the action-drama contains a plot in which a guy saves his closest buddy and aids in his takeover of a goon-ruled empire. While actor Prithviraj appeared to be a good supporting role for the movie’s main character, Prabhas’ tough persona has been praised by his fans as him being in his “dinosaur mode”. Salaar will shatter box office records, according to Prabhas fans, who claimed they haven’t seen their favourite star in such a “violent” attitude since “Baahubali.”
Some viewers, meanwhile, pointed out that Prabhas doesn’t have a lot of screen time in the teaser and speculated that he would play a larger part in the extravagantly produced film’s second act.
The line “Please… i kindly request” that Prabhas said in the teaser went viral right away and topped the X trend charts.
“An extraordinary tale of rebellion filled with power-packed action and impactful music,” that is how “Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire” is described in the story description posted on Hombale Films’ official YouTube website. It said, “Get ready to rebel with us and see the most violent man on screens this December 22, 2023.”
The cast of the film also includes Shruthi Haasan, Tinu Anand, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, and Garuda Ram. Ravi Basrur is credited with the music, and Anbariv with the stunts.
The release date of “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” was originally set for September 28, however the producers postponed it because of “unforeseen circumstances.”
On December 22, the day following Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki,” the movie will be released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
